Adorable 16 week old kitten, unfortunately not mine

Beautiful kitten who will eventually grow into a beautiful cat. I would love to have another cat (my last one died from cancer at 12-years old). However, since we have been doing Maltese rescue work, we have too large a turnover of dogs in the house. Some of whom would not be friendly to a cat.

I would love a cat and I am trying to convince my other half to have one as we will be moving shortly into a 300 yr old + Georgian farmhouse that we are renovating and has a fairly good mouse population at the moment. I told him I am pretty fed up with the increasing body count from the mouse traps but he thinks he's the "Great White Hunter"
