Thanks, Manfred! All of the photos in this thread were taken using my wife's camera, which became my backup camera. That was during the two-day period that you fixed my camera by advising me to turn the camera on and remove the battery for two days.
By the way, I came very close to scheduling a return trip to Iceland this summer. We were planning a four-day stopover on our way to Norway thanks to the Icelandic government's subsidy that allows using Iceland Air to include the stopover at no extra cost. We decided instead to use that time in Norway. I'm sure we'll eventually get around some day to taking advantage of that on our way to other parts of Europe.
