As I mentioned in a previous post of a sunrise recently I was on Sanibel Island, Florida. That island is home to the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is made up mostly of Mangrove islands and the open water between them. This bird frequents the mangrove thickets. This is the first time I photographed this bird, my first impression looking through the viewfinder was... what a large orange eye. Since this bird does much of it's hunting at night a large eye would definitely be an advantage. C&C welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.
