Re: Vacation pictures Set 3 - Last one
Nice, Otavio
On shot 3, perhaps you could consider a different perspective. Stepping back or a wider field of view would give you more or all of the rotting tree in the frame, rather than part of it cutting the bottom of the image. That would put it into context better. Also, watch your horizons as there's a bit of a slant. Failing that if your autofocus can't keep up, maybe upping the ISO to 1600 would help - that would give you around f16 for the same exposure, a greater depth of field and more chance of getting the bird's head totally in focus.
On shot 4, the duck's probably a tricky bird to shoot. Continual focus on the eye may have helped here - if you're that close in your composition you should really get the eye in focus.
Easily said with hindsight though!

Hi, Phil. Many thanks for the feedback. Yes, they (ducks) are really tricky and I am still getting used to the D5100 autofocus system. Kindest regards.

Yes, Bobo, really nice vacation, except that they were too short, as they usually seem to be!
Let's just wait (and work hard!) until the next ones...Thank you.
