My 1st shots with my 1st DSLR.
This shot forms part of some of my first photos taken around the house in the first few days of getting my camera.

Spaniels. Great dogs, silly as a wheel.
Keep the photo's coming and enjoy your new camera.

Thinus... Great start! Welcome to CiC!
I think that you will find when shooting dogs (especially dogs with longer noses) that using a longer focal length from a greater distance avoids the distortion evident in this image. However, sometimes the distortion is fun to play with.
When shooting people also, I tend to try to shoot from a bit greater distance using a longer focal length lens.
