Personally I would bring up the land more in all respects to balance out the sky and maybe even dull that down a touch. As I often can't help having a go to see if I'm right and for practice I may try if I can find a spare 10mins later today.

Couldn't resist. Have also tried to alter the lighting. I think it works better this way or at least is starting to? Idea was postcard like. Also up scaled it by 30%. Curious. Not something I usually do.

    Well, it's different..John.

Only problem I have is that the light on Mull has a special subtle quality and it doesn't look like that.

The top grass looks almost bleached.

    Appreciate your input though.

Yep, Mull hasn't seen lighting like that since before the last ice age and it moved up from somewhere near the equator.

Sorry Mull, but I grew up just up the Great Glen near Fort William.

Maybe I should have added a mammoth. Bleaching yep but added maybe to much but to draw the eye.

:-) The apparent weather might draw more tourism. The boarders and far south west are my main experience's of Scotland. Could be the weather some years ago had something to do with my impression. It was stinking hot last time I went. Even my bare feet looked like I was wearing white sandals.

Acht sunshine would spoil the place Donald .

I really grew to love that gentle subdued light

John...am not sure tourists visit the Highlands and Islands for the weather!

Seriously to me that shot looked well exposed as far as the sky goes, distance looked ok but the land dull and under exposed and lacking the contrast that a sky like that should give. Common problem that usually comes with perfect skies.
