    Back to Picnic point

Woke this morning to a text from the guy whom owns my company. He was sending a cell phone snap of this mornings red sunrise with double rainbow.

Oh hey I am supposed to be on my way to work...not sleeping. lol Off I went and realised I had missed a good one. All day the clouds were great. All I could think is there might be a good sunset.

Never went home...straight to the beach from my last job, with a stop for a brisket sandwich at my fav BBQ joint.

    Sorry for image heavy series....

The lighting on those old timbers is just magical. I love it. The whole thing makes for an excellent image. My complements. That's one straight out of the top drawer.

Such a wonderful series! I also especially like the one Donald prefers, not just for the light on the timbers that he mentions but also because of how the three main elements come together. If I could select from among your series my favorite sky, sun and foreground, I would select all of them from that image.

They are all very pleasing images Paul.

On my monitor it appears as though the first and third have some barrel distortion? The horizon is curved but more noticeable, the sun's reflection in the sea seems to go off to one side.

Thank you everyone. The one Donald picked out is my favorite as well and for much the same reason as Mike.

Frank, good catch, looks as if I for got to correct those two. Thank you.
