That, in particular (and in my view), is a very, very good image. It's got impact and it's got appeal. Get it on a greetings card and it could sell lots.

I agree that in photography terms #5 is a perfect photo for greetings card. But #2 is so so funny. The expression of the puppy... Who (s)he thinks (s)he is?!

Is the color temperature correct? It looks flash-cool to me but I am not sure.

Mackenzie, *blush*. Thank you. I have no idea how to get it on a card, but I could print some (cafepress) and donate them to the Rover Rescue group to whom these pups belong. They could use them for fundraising or whatever.

Well there is the easy and the hard way.

The easy one is the color temperature slider in Lightroom. Unfortunately in your image the puppy is illuminated by a flash (correct me if I am wrong) but the background is not so you need to use the brush to selectively alter the CT.

You can try in Photoshop or other similar program the following:
place a permanent color index marker somewhere where you thing there should be neutral and adjust the individual color curves until you have a reading where RGB have the same values. After that you can make a mask to limit the alteration to the flash affected area. Unfortunately the procedure is not straight forward and since I don't have experience myself I usually end up with a mesh....

I think the best solution is to have used a half CTO gel to match the flash color temperature with the background one in the first place. It is a fast (no need to spend hours in PP), cheap and effective way to get rid of such problems but more techniques to master.

I usually have more success with a gel. I am afraid I cannot provide more help with that since I started experimenting with these techniques not along ago. Fortunately the forum is full with specialists.
