    walkabout lens

i am looking for an alternative to the 18-105 nikon dx vr kit lens. currently using the d7000 and d90. i would rather a full frame lens with better sharpness. it need not be nikon. i already have a 60mm and 105mm micro nikkor, 50mm f 1.8, 11-16 f2.8, 70-300 vr, 150mm macro and 18-105 dx vr.

I use the f/1.8 35mm DX for my walkaround lens on my D90. It is small, sharp and unobtrusive. If I want to use a zoom, the f/2.8 24-70mm does well, but it is a pricey pro lens and is not stabilized; but it is fast and sharp.
