Portrait of my son using 90mm Macro
I only heard that Tamron 90mm2.8Macro can be used for portrait photography also. Now i explored my Macro lens capability as portrait lens.I am quite happy with results.I have done only minor adjustments.

Hi, love the way you have got him to stand out from the background, almost 3D , well done.

Yep, it pops out from the background nicely. I'd suggest to try cropping the upper part to emphasize the child more.

I love the photo just as it is, the background is just right, and I would not do any cropping, sweet boy......

Re: Portrait of my son using 90mm Macro
I love this image. It has almost a "fairy tale" ambience about it! It proves what a nice portrait lens the 90mm f/2.8 Tamron Macro is.
This lens can produce some lovely background blur (bokeh) if you shoot wide open and fill the frame with your subject while the BG is a bit of a distance in the rear. The eight bladed aperture produces quite smooth bokeh...
Normally, I like head and shoulders portraits to be in the vertical or portrait position but, I think that the flowers really add to this image. IMO the bright spot above your handsome son's head is somewhat distraction. I played with cropping a bit and using the clone tool to remove that bright part of the sky. I hope you don't mind my posting the different version. I will remve it if you desire.
Now that I look at the image, I think that removing the green and pinkish image just to the rear of his hair might also be a positive thing...

Re: Portrait of my son using 90mm Macro
Thank u so much. One thing i would like to add that just before taking this pic the lens fell on hard surface due to my negligence.I was amazed to see that apart from minor scratch on outer body no damage was done. Thanks to Tamron for the lens hard body.
