Studio: Kine

Both photos are shot in my white studio here in Trondheim, Norway. The model, Kine, is one of my favourites, as she's easy to work with, playful, and really fun to be around.

Yeah, that's the thing I don't like about these photos. I used my 90mm, and there's not really enough room for it in my studio

I have always liked my 90mm lens for portraits but, as you mentioned, there is often not enough space to use the 90mm focal length. That is why I use my 70-200mm f/4L IS lens as my main portrait glass. It is suprising how much of a difference there is between 70mm and 90mm when shooting in tight quarters...

Kristian and Richard, are you using a 90mm lens of a camera with a full frame sensor or one with a smaller sensor? On my film camera I used to use 100mm but on my Canon 60D, I tend to use my 50mm although I have a zoom I suppose I could use.

Bruce, I did this with a crop sensor. An old Pentax K20D actually.

What surprises me is that the EXIF mentions a 35mm equivalent focal of 72 mm...

Maybe I'm thinking wrong? I did both the 90mm, and the 18-55mm in this shoot. I just assumed that since they are cropped tight they were from the 90mm

Remco, how did you find the EXIF data? I vaguely recall that it's possible to get that info from at least some uploaded photos but I don't remember how.

I use FireFox, and there's an add-on that can show the EXIF from any posted image (provided the data is still there, ofc., a lot of programs seem to strip off the data):
A link to the homepage with a description, and installation through the firefox tools -> add-ons menu.

On a side note, there's also a histogram viewer add-on available (not the same author/homepage)

Re EXIF: there is also a free add-on for Chrome. "EXIF Viewer" shows both the EXIF and the histogram(s)

Remco, I switched from IE to Firefox a few weeks ago so downloaded the EXIF add-on. It works! Thanks for the info.
