Removing noise in Photoshop
Best filter to remove noise in Photoshop is Filter > Noise > Reduce Noise. Before using this filter it is recommended to convert layer with image to Smart Object from Filter > Convert for Smart Filters. After using Reduce Noise filter I am always applying Color blend mode. If you have Smart Object created double click two triangles on the right side of filter name below Smart Object to open: Blending Options (Reduce Noise) dialog and change from Mode: drop down list to Color. Alternatively use Edit > Fade Reduce Noise with regular layer. In this way you will apply filter only to color information keeping details intact.
Here is example before/after applying Color blend mode where is obvious that image have more distinct details after applying Color blend mode.
