Wacom Intuos5 tablet
Can anyone tell me how many USB ports the Intuos5 has. Using a MacBook Pro that has only 2 USB ports (one for Imageprint9 dongle, the 2nd for my Epson 3880 printer), I need to know if I need to get a USB port duplicator.
Also, would the medium or large work best for just photo editing. Using LR4 and NIK software only at this point.

I can't answer your specific question but it certainly sounds as if you could do with a USB hub. They are so cheap it has to be worth the investment for the flexibility it will give you for attaching card readers, cameras, memory sticks etc.

If you have an external monitor that may already have one built in.

Re: Wacom Intuos5 tablet
I have the Intuos 3, not the 5, but so far as I can tell it has no USB ports other than the one you use to connect to your computer, and you really don't want any additional ports on it because it will interfere with the way you move it around and use it. Think of it like drawing on a piece of paper; you adjust the way the tablet sits, depending on what you are working on. I usually have it on my computer table, but sometimes put int on my lap to use.
I use the second smallest size, as this gives me the right balance between having enough accuracy for use without getting to be so large that I have to move my arm all over to position it. This is personal preference, of course. I found the smallest size too tight and the larger ones tiring to use.

You may need an active USB hub (own power supply).

Re: Wacom Intuos5 tablet
Thank to all for their help. I ordered a medium sized Intuos5 with their wireless adapter and a powered USB hub from B&H and should be here tommorrow. It states on the Wacom website that software including Photoshop Elements is included. I hope this is correct as I'd like to try PSE. Currently only using LR4 and NIK plugins.
