I have done some stupid things in my life but, changing a lens over a polar bear enclosure ranks right up with the worst of them.
I just hope that the polar bear suffered no ill effects.

Looks like there's condensation inside the front element. That lens is probably toast, which is a pity. Imagine how much fun you could have explaining bear teeth marks on your 70-200.
