Probably only the first or second one of yours that doesn't work for me, so I'll mention just a minor issue. Notice the blue-green thingy about one-third of the way up from the bottom and almost dead center on the horizontal axis.
Yes I do see it..that's part of the texture I used Mike, there are all sorts of little flecks and daubes ( or 'thingy's as you call them) in it that I rather like, that's the most obvious of them . Sorry it doesn't work for you. I must read up on the horizontal axis you mention because I could have rotated the texture quite easily.
I was going for a bit of an 'Old masters' feel..the Echinacea flower immediately made me think of Vermeer's 'The Girl with a Pearl earring'
No harm in aiming high!

Ah ha! Sharon actually referenced a painting that I'm familiar with. Not much chance of that.
The thing about the thingy (couldn't wait to write that!) that I mentioned is that it is so much more prominent than all the other much smaller thingies that it seems to be distracting in my mind.
Don't bother looking up "horizontal axis." I was only trying to use the phrase, and perhaps improperly so, to help you locate the thingy.
