Always a sad site for me to see these boats rotting .They should go out with a bit of ceremony,like being set adrift at night,ablaze,and with a politician of your choice lashed to the prow as a figurehead.

Thanks for the comment W.Yes ,it is a bit noisy,due to the cropping I would think.I needed to pull it in to show the reflections to best effect.Because the content is more important to me than the graininess I tend not to see it.I'm still battling with the concept of cloning things out of pictures(which I can't do anyway) What is the reason for removing it?

This is a very nice picture. I would think to crop off the lower part of water to make the overall composition be more tight.

The reason to clone it is that it's a little distracting form the rest of the scene and breaks the uniformity of the water

To me, the most distracting bit of 'noise' is on the water at the bottom of the photo; although most of this may be due to a slight wind ripple effect.

Either way, a tighter crop of the bottom area would remove most of this distraction, and the buoy might look OK then.

There is a bit of noise in the distant areas but I don't find this to be much of a problem.

Thanks for your changes Dave.I do notice a marginal difference, but no change in the general aesthetics by cloning out the bouys.Still,without being shown other peoples perspective we won't understand our own.(I para-phrase Giaccometti the sculptor)
