Expedition to Forestville/Mystery Cave State Park-Friday

Along with my faithful copilot, I departed in crisp 24F Fall weather to pick up my crew

This day was forecast as our only "nice" day, Saturday was forecast as 100% chance of rain. Upon arrival at Forestville/Mystery Cave State Park, we immediately set out on our exploration of the park in search of suitable subjects at which to point my camera. Nada, no birds, no stunning color, just brush. We retreated to the RV, only to discover the park caretakers across from our site had a bird feeder. Salvation!!!! I managed to shoot a few small birds, before dusk set in and growling stomachs took precedence.

I love that first bird picture, he looks like one of the kids lifting the lid on a pot to see what is for dinner. That second little bird looks like he's had a few too many dinners, unless it is a she and has yet to lay her eggs. And #3 is busy pulling something out of that branch. Great shots, is there noise or grain on the second bird? ISO higher? Really like the texture of the backgrounds and colors.
