Study of tree and fallen leaves

My wife and I recently visited a National Trust property, Wrest Park, Bedfordshire, England.

There were many natural history subjects to be taken, but I was quite taken by the way the remains of the leaves fell amongst the "above" ground tree roots which themselves had some, I think, had some lovely shapes.

Of the three you've posted, this is my favorite. I like the form and colour of the roots with the contrast of the dead leaves. Nice one.
