Re: Ferry from Stornaway to Ullapool
The lighting on the mountains in the last one is very interesting Wernerg.
What about cropping out from the top and bottom to emphasize that?

I normally don't like to have land floating on water but it is almost unavoidable shooting from a ferry.

I think you are right. That is An Teallach. There is actually a little micro brewery at the bottom of that. I was drinking the beer from there when i was up in Ullapool last week.
You really did take in the very best of Scotland in that trip you made. I hope you enjoyed it and that you'll tell lots of folks to come.

Love that translucent light and the golds and blues that the Highlands and islands do so well.
Really nice shot Werner

Thank you for commenting Donald and Daisy Mae. I looked at Donald's ferry picture again and realize that you shot from the north side of the harbor looking south, probably the same scene that I shot.
It was a great trip. We've done a lot traveling since we retired but this was one of the best. Despite all my whining about the weather (and the single track roads) during the trip, it never stopped us from doing anything and produced some of the loveliest light that I've ever seen.
