Re: Window in Stromness
Agreed, well composed. The shadow on the diagonal contributes to the overall feel of the image too.
Cheers

Re: Window in Stromness
I really like the simplicity and minimalism in this image. I also like how the light is creating two triangles; one of light and shadow.

Few elements but combined efficiently. I really like it.

Re: Window in Stromness
Werner,
Great photo! I love the framing/cropping such that your diagonal exactly bisects it into two halves, but the asymmetry with the window in the lighter half , unbalanced by anything in the dark, pulls us right into the window. I would probably bump the exposure down and the contrast up a notch, but I just tend that way with almost everything. I enjoyed this very much.

For those of us who know Stromness, this captures and conveys its character beautifully.

Re: Window in Stromness
Thank your all for your comments. Stromness is lovely little town with lots of great stone buildings like this one. It was nice being in the right place at the right time for a change.
