... the kids just don't leave home these days
Well our daughter nicknamed as the forum 'Fashionista' is now 20 yrs old, periodically we give her the speech..... "when I was your age, I was living on my own, supporting myself etc etc
but she's still here!, so I try to nab her for a pic whenever I can, if I spy her dressed up, before she goes out for the evening....
I have heard of parents downsizing their home so there's no room for the kids! .... we haven't got to that stage just yet.. & I'm sure we will be glad to have her around, when her brother heads to Melbourne Uni (fingers crossed) next year.
Thankyou for viewing

Lovely young lady... On my computer, the image looks a bit bright. However, I have just changed lighting in my computer room from incandescent to LED. Although I used my Huey Pro to calibrate my monitor, I am not sure whether the monitor is on or not...

Portraits are not my thing Kay but I can say you have done a nice job. Very lovely young lady indeed and you have clearly captured that quite well.

I know you can't wrap your kids up in cotton wool, but personally I'd not leave her out of my sight!

Well Kay, if she's only 20, you could have another 10 yrs of this ! Or better still, she may want a male friend to live there too - now wouldn't that be fun
As for the photo, looks good to my untrained eye but perhaps a little bright on her left side ?

Kay,
No problem here. I have a 22 yo boy I'm trying to drop out of the nest. I propose a simple trade.
Lovely shot, but agree the left side cold use a touch of luminance reduction.

Thankyou for your comments Gentlemen, and I see what you mean, a bit of fill light on the darker side & less main light would be a much better balance.
Kevin if your young man can cook we may have a deal!
