Stop Chasing Me Around
Sometimes in this hurried life you just wish to be left alone to move at your own pace!
Amber Snail. Occasionally found in wet grassland.
I've always found these difficult to photograph due to their wet glossy shells which reflect the light. Flash usually gives poor results and even 'natural lighting' like this shot needs a bit of under exposure then recovery of the shadows during editing.
Rather liked this angle which makes the snail appear much bigger than it actually is in real life.

Reflective surface it is, Geoff. You managed it very well though, and captured it with all it's wetness and sliminess.

Thanks for the comments. This started with a quick shot just for identification reference then became something of a challenge to see what I could achieve with it.

Very nice Geoff! In the shell you can see the surface pattern, the detail under the translucent surface and your reflection on the surface all at once! Amazing!
