Tulips
Thought I would post a pic (one of many) that I took last month at Floriade (an Annual Tulip Festival held in Canberra )-this weekend was my first shoot with my new Canon 650d -tulips were looking a bit ragged as there was wild weather the day before - TV 1/500, AV 4.5,ISO 800 - C & C Welcome

Re: Tulips
Hi Hazza.
For me, id boost the saturation a touch and knock back the exposure, clone out the white bits on the blooms and a little more on the crop to make it square, put in a boarder and last but not least either tone down the water mark or loose it altogether.
apart from that nice capture!

Re: Tulips
I agree with toneing down the water mark or loose it altogether but I like it.

Re: Tulips
For me, there is a problem with that confusing background. One of the common difficulties with 'real world photography' I'm afraid.
But cropping closer to reduce the area between the tulip and top edge by around half will remove a lot of the worst effect. There is space to reduce the right side by a similar amount if you want to retain the same size ratio.

Re: Tulips
Thanks Mark - looks good - to be honest I never do any editing unless I am going to get something printed, too time consuming for me
