    I don't usualy photograph pets but this little guy was an exception. I think I'm going to have a print of this one made for my mom as this is her dog.

    I'm not the best person placed to comment on colour, but is this accurate colour/the colour you want in the image? I wonder if it needed an adjustment.

    I'm sure your Mom will be happy with this shot. I agree with Donald that some color correction may be in order- it is very "warm". Also, I'd clone out or crop just above the little white triangle in the LL corner, and a little noise reduction in the low detail areas will improve it also.

    It looks like you might have had daylight white balance cranked in on your camera and shot under tungsten lighting.

    However, I personally find it easier to live with a warmer white balance than with a blue or green hue...
