What makes you think the calves are a male and female?

Well the one on the left looks to have a brown face and according to something on google males have black faces. As for the other calf , really more of a guess. Can't see the face and on my iPad can't really see much of anything else either, but both Mom and the other calf have a white patch high on the rear which I don't see on the other calf .
