    Something old and something new

    Hello all,

This Moon photo was taken back at the start of the year, however I never did much with it until last week. It was taken using my Orion ed80 refractor telescope (F.L 600mm) at prime focus.

Now for something new(er). The following image was taken a few weeks ago while on a trip out to the lake. 1/500, ISO 100, F/13 - EF 90-300mm @ 300.

Both look good to me. Can you zoom in and see the landing site of Apollo 11?

It's a pretty good moon shot, but it needs rotated. Or is that the way it looks in new zealand?

I hadn't given it any thought before, but if you think of a tangent to the ground we each stand on in UK and NZ, they probably are about 90 degrees to each other.

So 'down', as a descriptor for the bottom edge of frame when referenced to something 'out there', will be different.
