Champs Elysees Road
Three Parisiennes and a pedestrian crossing
Five cars and the light is red
The male hormones are rising
Engines go up in the red
Three Parisiennes on the run.
I get reactions: Abbey Road?
Regards

Re: Champs Elysees Road
It's been a long time since I have worn the soles of my shoes in Paris, and the image comes to me as unusual for Paris traffic. But then, back in the sixties-seventies, pedestrians didn't use zebra crossings but jaywalked just anywhere along the road, calmly, taking one lane at a time when there was space enough between cars. Never running, sometimes waiting on the line between lanes till they could pass another, and I did it myself many times, particularly on this avenue, close to l'Etoile. I don't actually remember any traffic lights or zebra crossings, I think they existed, but I never noticed. That was the typical way of crossing a street with several lanes. Paris traffic was an easy pace in those days, although some habits were strange to me. I seldom saw a car that didn't have a dent or a few. But pedestrians did not run as far as I can remember, never.

What luck catching these three cuties running across. The image is much nicer with pretty gals than with grizzled old men doing the same thing!
