Hi Dave, trees by themselves typically aren't very interesting, BUT, you add a path with some stippled shadows across it and you want to follow the path to see where it goes. You also notice the interesting bark on the trees. Thomas Kincade "Painter of Light" used this technique quite frequently and very sucessfully with his paintings.
I agree with Frank on pretty much everything Dave. I think the details are what does it for me.....the bark and the shadows. Without these it would be technically the same comp and subject and likely boring. Well done.
