There are better places to get warm
Someone want to tell this frog! For the first time in a while I had a little time during work to stop in at a favorite spot for birds. Most have left for the winter but some will hang out through the year. This Heron found what must be one of the last frogs of the season.

Wow, Paul!
Great shot... but it might be a teensy weensy bit late for the frog.

I know I lost it down here somewhere. Hold on, I think I see it. Just a little bit further....
A great story told by supurb images Paul!

Re: There are better places to get warm
Thank you, Theresa, Orlando and Frank. Had not shot any birds since the spring season ended other than July on Vacation. It was past due to go see what was about.

Have to agree with Bobo. You gotta make this a two picture in one frame presentation.

Re: There are better places to get warm
Great captures! I guess I figured Heron's ate fish, never really thought about frog being on the menu.

Thanks Trace, Herons will eat anything they can fit in their mouth. A friend saw one catch and eat a rat, another saw baby ducks and I saw a 12 frame series where a full grown Grebe become dinner.
