A few of the smaller bird today

These images have yet to be cropped, I just have not decided upon what I want to do yet. Figured I would share and think about that when I have slept a little, eyes are going wonky. lol

The first is a Wren checking out some woodpecker holes. I'm guessing for food but hey maybe he got booted from his last apartment.

This is a Female Red-Winged Blackbird in her migration as all of ours have left.

And my miss of the day.. A Ruby Crowned Kinglet. Very small and never still. A miss because I wiggled and got some motion blur. Serves me right for shooting handheld at 1/80 sec handheld and 400mm.

Paul, a nice collection. I'll look forward to hearing/seeing what you do with them. Although the first (hand held at 1/20!) might benefit from cropping, a lot could be said for leaving it largely as is -- it places the bird in its habitat.

Thanks Bruce, that is my dilema with the first. The second....well I have better of the species and may not do much with it, we'll see. The third is a pretty obvious reshoot. lol
Yes 1/20 sec and auto focus to boot.

Thanks Bobo, I put a little Vignette on it and called it done. The crops worked but I like this one showing the full habitat.
