Re: GIMP Users - GMIC - A Powerful "Plugin"
No, I get the x.8, latest version.....initially I got the x.6 version as Source-Forge was a little slow in updating.......
You need to copy all the included files into the Plugins folder pointed to in Preferences....being the file name did not change you must be careful that the files exist and then copy over them.....

Re: GIMP Users - GMIC - A Powerful "Plugin"
I should have checked sooner, but I have now discovered that there is a GIMP USER GROUP on Flickr which has considerable coverage of G'MIC. The author, with user name Ronounours, gives some commentary about various filters and other users have posted interesting methods, e.g. for removing backgrounds.

Managed to get the new version in okay.
Willgoss- I am assuming it was you who made the entry in the Flickr group re the 'killer combination' of G'MIC Channel Mixer and c2g from GEGL. You're right. This is giving conversions the 'pop' I've been striving for. Absolutely brilliant. Will do a lot more experimenting. Thanks for sharing this info.
