AWWW - I have a fondness for orange tabby cats - used to have one myself . I think the first shot is the better of the two just because I like the pose better - I do find the vertical dark grey foreground takes away from the image - wonder if you might want to crop that . I would also try to dessaturate the blue in the reaminder of the foreground
