Hi Folks,

We've got a bit of a storm passing through Nelson at the moment -- it got me thinking about some "wild weather" that we had a few years ago, and I thought that it might be a good theme for a thread.

I'll start the ball rolling with a photo of home -- pity that I didn't have the boat then - I would literally have been able to float it up and down the street!



So ...

Don't think we get much extreme weather here in Scotland but hopefully you won't mind if I post this:

A mate took that pic of me on a mobile phone but there was so much snow we had the trails to ourselves all day. They dunno what they were missing!...we kicked the snow off the take off ramp but the rest of the rest hill was covered in thick snow that made the bike squirm and you had to hang on. Lots of crashes and lots of laughs that day

My favourite snow sport was to sit in a chair lift and go up and down the mountain without getting off!

Looks pretty close to what we've got here in Nelson today actually - I've got the feeling that more bad weather is on the way.
