New Born
Shot of a baby I seen out walking the steets for photo shots. Sent the lady a copy as well. I'm thinking I might have got to close in but sometime you have to take the shot and hope for the best. C@C is always welcome.

Re: New Born
Hi Paul,
I like it, filled the frame. Good shot.
Using flash with a shot like that can so easily destroy the shot. If it is possible using natural light is always better IMHO. I am not a fan of hard shadow lines in portraits. Soft tones with subtle shadows seem to work better. If I am not mistaken I think you should always focus on the eye closest to the camera, it has to be sharp.
Thanks for sharing and the opportunity for C&C. (Not being critical, but learning from it.)

Re: New Born
I don't think you are too close at all, add a teeny bit of sharpening to the eyes maybe- I would be interested to see a BW conversion as well, that should really focus our attention on the eyes and away from the bright blanket.

Re: New Born
It looks as if it would benefit from dropping the brightness just a touch Paul.
She is gorgeous and that expression says she doesn't really like you, pocking that thing in her face.
