Nice, Colin
Bottom left, second piece up - have you got a spare? My thumb pad's getting a little flappy!
I never knew they came as kit sets or you just in the middle of doing your weekly service Colin.
Cool! I didn't know we could buy them from IKEA now![]()
Better than a meccano set !
LOL to everyone. Sorry - forgot to point out that it's not my photo - it's actually linked from the Nikon D4 facebook page - I saw it when another photographer shared it.
Geez colin, when you clean your camera, you 'REALLY' clean your camera.![]()
Ah yes! The one all the kids want for Christmas instead of a Rubic's Cube. I hear that the fastest assembly time is now under two minutes and that includes setting the date and time and getting the first image uploaded to their iPhone!
I can't count how many parts there![]()
Ok, own up, who has hidden the ****** screws !![]()
Probably shot using a Canon.
Just imagine taking the time to put all those parts together to realize that they left out the battery.
I think that they forgot one tiny screw!
Much easier on the cleaning I have heard with half the parts and half the quality
Now here is the new one, the D600

Interesting to see that the top display on the D700 and on the D600 is displayed as a separate part.
My interest is because I have a Canon 60d and unfortunately a few weeks back I cracked the top display.I went to the dealer who sold me the camera and got an estimate from Canon UK---289 EUROS!!!! They have to replace the top housing.
So I searched the web and discovered that Canon Europe replace the complete top housing but in the USA you can purchase the top display as a replacement part, costing 60 dollars plus labour cost.
Needless to say I am very annoyed with myself for being careless as normally I am very particular with my precious gear.
You know.... The amount of technology in these things is just baffling.
