    Waxwings

It appears this year may be a very good year for waxwings (Bombycilla garrulus) in the UK. In the last few weeks they have appeared in many places.

Here in Gairloch on the north west coast of Scotland there are probably well over a hundred now. Yesterday they discovered the rowans in the front garden and for a few minutes there were about 50-60 on two trees.

This was the best shot I could get of a few of them. As excuses I can only offer it was an overcast day, I used a high f number to give a little more DoF on the manual focus lens so had to use an ISO of 3200 to give an even half way reasonable shutter speed for a hand held shot, as the lens was 210mm I had to crop the shot a bit and it was taken through a window.

    All comments welcomed.

    Great capture.

Maybe a bit of a levels/curves adjustment to make it pop somewhat? Looks somewhat hazy here.

    Thanks for the comment, Bobo.

Got to admit the haziness is probably due to a none to clean window, but I'll have a go with the adjustments you suggested.
