And into street photography as well.
"Of course he did dear"
You made me smile Sharon,
Donald...am way too 'feart' for street photography..but this one was irrestible.
Dave..thank you..it made me laugh.
I like the post-processing style that renders the entire image similar to the sculpture. However, the vignette doesn't work for me.
Neat shot! That's what I looked like when I had a mustache - and hair!
Very nicely composed. I like it. And as a matter of personal taste the vignette works for me. Draws my eye into the central main theme. So Richard, are you telling us that with a belly like that you were 'preggars' as well? LOL
I think this is a great shot and a great example of a photographer finding a great image even in an unlikely setting. As is so often the case in street photography timing is essential. It wouldn't work nearly as well with just the butcher sign/sculpture - the old couple add a human interest twist.
I also love the processing, including the vignette. I tend to use them on almost all my street shots as I find they help to focus on the subject.
That really made me chuckle, Sharron. Have a good day!
A fun image and perfect title.
One of the bosses at a local Dairy looked like that and always employed staff from the local agency who were 100% female; he used to be chasing them around the office most days. So yes I can believe he did. It looks tonemapped and I think that is brilliant in this image, intentional or not.
Titter, Titter thanks sharon!
I am glad it has given you all a bit of a smile....my stuff has been a bit 'dark' of late.
Most interesting to hear that the vignette seems to work for most. Really appreciate the feedback.
Sharon, I enjoy your creativity. Really fun image. Please keep them coming.
Fabulous!
Vignette works for me, that's about all I can say on technique as I'm a total beginner. I don't even know what tone-mapping is yet so enough of that. I just think it's a real fun image and a great title, I wouldn't have thought of that scenario without the title and it made me laugh when the penny dropped.
Awesome!
