Hi James,
I have to say I prefer the shot of your daughter to this
This looks soft almost everywhere except on the right and I suspect camera shake has played a part in this, although oddly; the shutter speed is missing from the Nikon D50's EXIF data, so I can't be sure.
Cheers,

Hi Dave
Thanks for comment, oddly enough i have to agree with you on the daughter one(biased on my part)
don't know why shutter speeds not showing?? it was a hand held shot so more than likely was camera shake..

Re: Urban
James,
I have to agree with Dave on this. I like the idea - I've been mentally cataloging graffiti around my hometown to try and shoot, but have not yet started. Part of my reluctance is that so much graffiti is so negative and offensive - something that is shown here in your shot. I simply don't want to continue that kind of expression of negativity. I do look at some graffiti and view it as art, but that negative stuff just looks like rude vandalism to me.
Don't give up on the concept here, but I do recommend a tripod next time.

Re: Urban
Hi James, nice concept and worth another attempt with a tripod, i find the perspective is a little off to the right and would have preferred it to be more square on i dont think that the image having a leading edge from bottom/top to the convergence in the upper 3rd and it appearing to narrow on the right works.
