New lense first sunset
I picked up a new lense a couple weeks back and I haven't had any time to give it a spin. I don't usually chase sunsets but we're in the darkest part of the year here in the Eastern US and this was the open time slot for photos. I can't wait to have some time during real daylight and something interesting to shoot.
So this is my 17-55 2.8 on my D90. Whole new world for me. Previous to this lense, shortest lense I have is 35mm.
I left the photo a bit under exposed because I like the silhouette ish appearance of the trees and the dog and the woman on the bench. There's some cropping - ugh alright - there's some significant cropping, but I was working fast and I was pre occupied that the woman on the bench was going to get freaked out that I was taking pictures of her.
Saturation and vibrance were pleasing to me on my icky (cheap and uncalibrated) monitor.
C&C welcome

Now? I repasted the link. I can see it. I use the BB code from my CIC album.

There it is! And a nice one too. I like the line of the trees so I like the way you cropped it. And, of course, you gotta love those sunset colors.

One less tree on the right of the picture would make it better for me, but very nice.
