Web and droplets
Foggy day = droplets on spider's webs. As always comments and criticism welcome.

Re: Web and droplets
I always like these pics of webs with water droplets on them.
I wonder, Clive, if you could have got more definition into it, so that it 'popped' a bit more. Maybe worth trying to see what impact it has. A very healthy dose of Local Contrast Enhancement would, I think, lift it quite a bit (of course you can adjust the amount of LCE to taste).

Re: Web and droplets
Never come across LCE. I checked the link and had a go. Certainly seems to have popped it a bit. I've always been wary of upsharp mask, as it often accentuates graininess and gives halos if overdone. I'm well impressed with this application of it - thanks a lot for the tip Donald, much apprecaited.
regards
Clive

Re: Web and droplets
I think that does indeed make a difference. It can be subtle, but is definitely noticeable.
That's another bit of knowledge and skill you can mark off the list as having been achieved.

Yes it is subtle. The effect is stronger on the peripheral droplets rather than the larger one in the centre. I think it gives more depth to the image.
