Nikon AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm 1:3.5-4.5G ED - cracked lens
The lens above has a cracked lens, it still works, the photos do not seem to be affected. The crack is on the very edge of the outside of the lens.
I read reviews that say it is a useful lens, but if I am going to get serious about photography I am wondering if I should get it fixed or replaced.
Comments welcome.

HI Robin it may not be worthwhile getting it fixed. Get a quote if you can and then take a look on Trademe. Currently listed are a 18-105G ED VR at $480 and a 18-55 at $150. Looking at your selection of lenses maybe you should consider getting an even wider angle lens than 18-70mm as your Sigma 28-200 easily overlaps the 70-300 nikon. Good luck.
