    Hi Rob,

I've given it a Photoshop 30-Second Makeover (TM!) for you - what do you think?

    Thanks Colin
I think that looks very smart. But can I ask why the edges turn in or is that just for affect.

Hi Rob - you had some curvature in your horizon, so I used the Lens Distortion tool to correct it (which produced the bowing effect) which I just thought I'd leave in for a bit of effect ... so a bit of a "test shot" in terms of processing.

Unfortunately the resolution is a bit low and it's a bit noisy

    Thanks,,, BUT.....

The poor guy is sick.. this 1 year old juvenille male elephant seal stranded itself on the beach a few feet infront of me during a mild storm. I called Marine Mammel Rescue people after a few minutes of watching him and they came and took him to thier facility to treat him.
Hes a repeat offender from another rescue center up north. a few hundred pounds under weight and his name is Kingsly.

    Hi Jeroen,

    Looks like a winner

Not sure how you feel about this, but my preference with shots like that is to "push them to the limit" - max vibrancy - agressive sharpening - agressive saturation - to make it look dramatic. I gave it a Photoshop 30-Second Makeover (TM!) to show you what I mean.

Looks nice to me, I think I'm going to tweak it a bit.
But I feel like the photo looks a lit less saturated viewing it on the forum, than the tiff file on my computer. I have converted it to jpeg and uploaded it to flickr. I'll check this when I got home today, but could this be true?
Does jpeg let the colour profile be involved with it?
