Excellent captures. What made you wait so long to post them?

Shoot! I just remembered I have a ton from back in July that I did not even upload.

I like 2 and 4 slightly better. #2 for the great mix of colours and #4 that you caught it in flight.

Oh! #1 is a superb shot as well but I would have toned down the yellow flowers somewhat.

#3 is nice and sharp but a going away pose with nothing else in the shot to suggest where it might want to be going are the only minor niggles againt it.

Hello Joe. Thanks for sharing these. I've never really tried macro or even birds, so maybe a grain of salt is in order ... #2 really works for me because there are no soft or hot spots to distract, and the sharpness of the detail is spot on. #1 Is nice except for the yellows that Bobo mentioned. You're on to something here so keep working at it!
