Re: Eagle Today...
Nicely done, I love that you caught him perching in the open. Ours love to hide or so it feels. When in the open it seems to be on a pole in the middle of the lake. Well done Steve.

Re: Eagle Today...
Very nice capture. The eagle is turned exactly in the right way to show it's majesty. I am not sure if persons from other nations feel the same about the bald eagle as we do, since it is one of our national emblems.
The image seems a tad on the yellow side. I adjusted the color a bit using the "remove color cast" eye dropper from PSE-10 and selected the white head of the eagle. The sky looks bluer and the bird's head is more white with this change...

Re: Eagle Today...
A bit noisy so I had a go at that but seem to have got a halo; better with more data I suppose.
The original is the best; glad we don't get birds that big around here.

Re: Eagle Today...
Richard - I think that any eagle anywhere will be viewed with awe. It is unfortunate that manlaces just do not have them.
Ontario for example used to have a good eagle population but DDT in their food supply decimated the population. Numbers have improved in recent years due to controls put into place in the 1990's. I have read reports of sightings in populated areas so hopefully one day eagles here will be as prolific as they used to be. For example the hawk and osprey population has exploded the past couple of years.

Re: Eagle Today...
That is a fine image. Six more weeks of winter will drive the northern birds south into our area. I can't wait.

Re: Eagle Today...
Thanks for the nice comments. The original looks fine to me. Did the Remove Color Cast tool remove any yellow in the eye, beak, and claws? I don't think that would look right. Just my ¢¢.
