I love it, Sharon. It just goes to show that rules are meant to be broken.
Splendid image, Sharon. Plenty here to spur the imagination.
Thanks Phil and Sergio
I was wondering why you decided to go with so much foreground and whether a 16:9 (cropping off some of the bottom) worked?
A thought provoking image for sure. I believe the crop Donald suggests would only make this image stronger.
I tried so many crops of the foreground with this and couldn't find one that kept the undulating texture of the saltpans (without looking like a crop)...and then there's the grass diagonal on the left that I quite like. In the end I left it .
Please feel free to crop it as you see fit Donald I am sure you would get it spot on
I do like that crop Donald and the picture is probably better balanced but the terrain just loses some of that wonderful 'crater like' texture.
Ok I can admit when Iam wrong and now I feel like Sharons crop was spot on. I like the person deeper in the photo.
Thanks Mike..that's a bit too square for me but appreciated.
James...thank you so much for that.
