Wow
Nick, that is a GREAT shot!!
Id love to see a bigger version!
Regards
Phil
Yep like to see it bigger as well and maybe a longer lead in using the reflections in the river.
Hi Phil - there's a 1600 pixel wide version on my Flickr stream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/reds42/8245025983/
Doesn't do it justice though - the D800e is an amazing camera on a good support for this type of shot.
That is a great shot.
How does a D800E do it better then say another DSLR ?
Wow. That is beautiful.
THAT is absolutely wonderful. Bigger is better.
In the sense that it has fantastic dynamic range and resolution, especially at base ISO. I shot this with print in mind as the final output.
Someone requested it on my Facebook page from a crappy handheld shot I did previously, so I went back to re-shoot it properly. Seeing as I have one - The D800e was definitely the camera to choose for the best starting point & IQ for a large format print, that retains all the detail.
Well done Nick,
Brilliant photo and has to be looked at on Flikr in full screen to fully appreciate how good it is.
Cheer, Greg
I'm jealous; it poured it down when I was there. Lots of lights under bridges I never expected, fairy lights in Clink road, South of the river is great and like a playground.
Yes Steve - there's a lot of shots to be had round that area. Good for reflections if the rain ever stops too
Thanks for the info Nick. I have heard about the DR/IQ of this one and was surprised by that shot.
I was browsing your Flickr pages. You have some really great shots in there.
