Re: Fog
I like your fog in colour also. Very nicely done. I seem to capture fog with only 2-dimensional objects, you have nice depth and detail. The leaves on the right side of #4 kinda distract me a little bit...would it be better without them?? I really like #1-3.
Cheers

Re: Fog
Thanks Jon.
Sorry, I removed #4 for precisely the same reason. Will put it up again later.

Re: Fog
It's been that kind of December eh Bobo. Well you know what they say about lemons and lemonade. I like your colourful fog. I was trying to something similar to the first one the other day, the jury's still out though. There's something about the forest on a foggy day, up close everything is so clear and colourful, but looking further into the woods everything is so mysterious.
Think we'll get much snow this year??

Re: Fog
Thanks Wendy.
According to the Weather people we are not supposed to have it as good as last year. But who can actually predict the weather?

Re: Fog
I like the color as well Bobo, #1 is my favorite. Hopefully I will get some more chances at fog this season.

Re: Fog
It's interesting the way the fog isolates the background - like nature's bokeh. I particularly like #3. That branch reaching out like a decrepit crone ... spooky.

Re: Fog
Bobo, these are really nice. In #1, I am distracted by the dark tree, the rock, and the log next to the rock. The rest is fantastic in that shot. #2 is unique, and I like vibrant green piercing the softness of the fog. #3 is my favorite. Composition, lighting, colors, the whole thing.. It's incredible!
Who can predict the weather? Well, the most predictable thing about the weather is that it's unpredictable.

Re: Fog
Thanks Greg.
Thanks Matt. About #1, sometimes can be hard finding a good perspective particularly as the slope is pretty steep just where the stone is and I was already pretty close to edge for this shot.
There is a reason I stick to birds/bugs etc, it is really difficult for me to make a whole scene look good.
You are 100% about the weather.

Re: Fog
#3 is my pick. I second what Greg has mentioned. Loved the way the fog has isolated the light in the background in #3. The overall green tinge that's been captured looks beautiful. It kinda looks like a jungle in Uncharted 2!!

Re: Fog
#1: That dark tree in the foreground does not belong to the scene and it's not going to work (for me) even if you remove it, sorry.
#2: Not sure.
#3: Lovely. The pair of branches in the middle: wish they were not there.

Re: Fog
Thanks Bedanta. Appreciate the frank views. Next time will try to avoid such distractions. Here the main obstacle to better angles was the very steep slope that the trees were on. Raining and very foggy so even more need to be careful about positioning.
