    Aerial Desert Photography in the NYTimes

    I just thought I'd share a link to some incredible Aerial shots that are featured in the NY Times LENS blog today. I had to look at the 1st one twice before I 'got' it

    I've seen that first one before.

    He does make some wonderful images.

    He talks about how he's able to stay a lot closer to the ground with the paraglider in comparison to a helicopter or plane and I think that really makes his images stand out from other aerial photographs. The salt pools in Niger photo is really interesting from the air.

    I wonder how many actual days in the field he spent during the 15 years he was doing this. In the article it says it cost him close to $1000 a day to be in the field so that could come out to one very large sum!
