Whoever says to never use ISO 3200 is full of poop.

A shot from a photo walk in Vancouver with the up and coming University of the Fraser Valley Photography Club.

I like this image but would like to see it cropped on all four sides so that the four people lead the viewer out to the far shore and sky line. As an alternative to cropping in the camera, this image might have been shot at a longer focal length.

IMO, including the four people in the shot provides scale to the image. With the cropping, they would appear larger in comparison to the rest of the image.

Cropping would get rid of the break in the seawall at the left of the image and the somewhat bright area on the far shore to the image right of the boathouse structure and would also get rid of some uninteresting concrete and sky area at the top and bottom of the image...

I would also like to see it rotated approximately 2 degrees or so counter-clockwise to level the far shore and skyline.

Hi Blake,

I agree we should stretch ourselves and our equipment photographically.

For me this appears a tad over exposed and lacking DoF.

I found a reasonable composition with the red line into the lower left corner and just losing the gap in the wall on left.

I would suggest cloning out the blue thing on ground though.

The shore was actually on an angle (getting farther away). When I tried leveling it, the buildings were pretty far off.
