A Montana Holiday Dec 25th photo
Wishing everyone a happy holiday and peace for the new year. Spent the Holidays at the Issak Walton Hotel on the south side of Glacier National Park. It is an old RR hotel built when the Great Northern RR was building the line around Glacier. 90% full moon that evening. Haunting yet beautiful.

Hi Dave,
I like them both, but particularly No.1.
I would love to stay there, but your picture scares me.
Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed viewing these.

Hi Dave. Very pretty. Well done. You did not blow out the lights (except in a few small areas where it looks natural anyway). My only suggestion is to slightly lighten the building in the top photograph above the front porch so it is not so difficult to see the details. With just a bit of lighting above the porch, the front door and windows will still be dominant and give that rustic, warm feeling. My two cents worth.

Thanks for the replies. I know you UK guys have lots older and more scary buildings than this. Old for us because it was built in 1939 by the Great Northern RR. And I think that your castles were built just a few years before that. As for temperature it was 10 F which is -12 C. Not too bad to be out in but I carry an insulated camera bag when I go back indoors.

Hi Dave
For me it's image 1, although both are great shots.
You are right here in the uk we do have some old scary buildings, but in your 1st image your hotel does look like it has a face.
2 eyes and a nose , centre top above reception .....very scary .
plus the clouds and trees really add to the atmosphere, very well captured.
Regards Glenn
